CHOOSING A THERAPIST
Deciding that you wish to seek support is the first step. Making that decision can be daunting. Your next step is to find someone who you are comfortable with. I believe that the connection you have with your therapist is the most important part. So, you might need to contact a few therapists before you decide. It’s OK we expect that. You may approach me by phone, text, or email, which ever feels best for you. Remember, I rarely answer the phone straight way, especially if I have a client with me. Therapy is not the sort of work that can be interrupted, my focus is totally on my client when I am working.
We can arrange to have a brief chat on the phone, and I will ask you some questions to better understand your aims and needs and we can decide how to progress.
I can work online via skype, facetime or what’s app and Zoom.
I can also work in person (when this is permissible).
My basic rate is £50 per 50-minute session. I offer some concessions, based on need and availability. I welcome psychotherapy and counselling students.
I run occasional workshops on self-care, loss, coping with cancer, mental health awareness.
Workshops and Retreats cost from £200 depending upon location.
