Self-Care
There is much spoken and written about self-care and whole business has grown up around it.
There are lots of self-care products and marketing strategies suggesting that their products are part of self-care.
Experience and evidence suggests that it is not that simple. Sometimes work-life balance won’t make things better and booze and chocolate, sadly are usually counter-productive.
Self-care needs to be much deeper and more radical to be effective. With the support of a therapist, you can help to see what may cause your energies to be sapped and might even have resulted in burn-out.
It might mean making big decisions like changing job, relationships or more often than not learning to say no or to seek outside help but it nearly always means finding some control over your circumstances and tuning into your inner wisdom.
Whether you are a stressed out executive or an unpaid carer taking steps to identify what is difficult and to take the steps you need to deal with this or accept that it is something that you cannot change.
I run a two day workshop to help out to get in touch with what is blocking you from getting the most out of your life.
The next weekend workshop is on 6th and 7th November at Lepe Country Park in the New Forest. You will get a chance to turn within, and connect with your own wisdom as well as to experience the coast and countryside in the beautiful New Forest. Message me direct if you are interested in working with me.
